A PRO-AM AT ROMNEY WARREN 

Although still in the early stages of planning it is hoped to hold a Pro-Am golf competition at Romney Warren in 2009.

This is an ambitious project and it would be of great help to know how many people (male, female, members and non-members) would consider taking part.

The estimated cost for members would be £40.00 and for non-members £50.00.

All the inter club matches are strongly contested but played in very good humour.  The matches against Homelands Golf Club are particularly enjoyable as a trophy in the form of a shield is played for.  I am pleased to say that Romney Warren Golf Club has never lost its hold on this trophy and  because this year's matches were halved the shield remains in our trophy cabinet. 

There are still two other matches to be played.  PLEASE  DON'T  BE  RELUCTANT  TO PUT  YOUR  NAME  FORWARD  TO  PLAY.  THE  CAPTAIN'S  JOB  IS  MADE  MUCH  EASIER  IF HE HAS LOTS  OF  MEMBERS TO  CHOOSE  FROM.

CAPTAIN'S  CHARITY  ( MACMILLAN  CANCER  SUPPORT)   

So far this year there have been three matches held for the Captain's Charity all of which have been very well supported.  So  much  so  that the fund currently stands at £1,954.00

There are other events in the pipe-line including a Quiz night, a Race Night and a Curry evening.  No dates have been set for these events but information will be posted on this site and on club notice boards. (See Social Events)

PLEASE  NOTE  THAT  ON  SUNDAY 14TH  DECEMBER,  2008  A  "CHRISTMAS  CRACKER"  GOLF  MATCH  AND  DINNER  IS  BEING  HELD.  THIS  WILL  BE  A  GREAT  DAY  SO  KEEP  YOUR  DIARIES  CLEAR  FOR  IT.

New *  Friday Night Stableford  * New

It has recently been decided that on Fridays throughout the summer months a Stableford competition will be organised by the club professional and this will be open to Romney Warren members, Littlestone members and 'pay and play' visitors who have a certified handicap.

The restaurant will remain open until 8.30 pm on Fridays for the benefit of members and visitors alike.
